Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For the first time in my life i am running a half marathon, 21 km, and looking forward to it! I have been training for it since last summer, at home and on holidays - please check out my running tracks in the photo gallery!

So, my story. I will run to support the Naked Heart Foundation, one of the most prominent international children's charities, in its mission to ensure that every child has a loving family and a safe and stimulating place to play, the two things essential for a happy, fulfilling childhood. 

This year, myself and other runners will combine physical forces and fundraising efforts to support a special project -  integrative summer camps for children with special needs and their families in Russia.

A break from the urban hustle and bustle, these camps are a perfect environment for rehabilitation, rest, communication and social integration of children and young adults with moderate and complex disabilities, such as Dawn Syndrom, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorders and others. Here at these camps the kids can learn, play, work and develop their human potential. Unfortunately, access to recreational facilities of this kind for many families in Russia are limited or simply non-existent. 

I hope you will feel just as strong about this charitable cause as me and will help the children with special needs materialise a simple wish - to spend one happy month in a summer camp.
