Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am embarking on a new challenge to run the Reading Half marathon. Now I have walked it in 4 ½ hours I know I can only improve my time whilst stepping up my last running distance of 10K

I am rubbish at going out running as I always find any excuse not to, plus I prefer the hockey pitch much more. I am really keen for people to sponsor me early as then I will be committed to having to run this distance. This is definitely outside my comfort zone after swearing I would never run further than 10k - eek

Three years ago my dad passed away after suffering 12 long years with Alzheimer’s. This is a terrible disease which impacts so many people today. The money raised will go towards research both into prevention and, if not a cure, treatments that might slow down the impact the disease has.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Great news is that the company I work for will match anything I raise so even a £1 donation will become £2 :)
