Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. My Dad, Steve Smith passed away aged 51 from a massive Heart Attack. I'm running in his memory as 20 years without him seems unfair. With improved care and early intervention I hope more Dad's will get to walk thier daughters down the isle and more kids will have precious time with their Grandads. 

I was with my husband Gordon when he suffered a Heart Attack in 2019. Thanks to speedy work at EDGH he had a stent fitted and is now getting on with life. 

We have more friends and family with Heart related illnesses. That is why I have selected BHF. It's important to me to support future research so that medical care improves and we get to keep hold of our loved ones.
