I’ve recently started running and wanted to set myself a challenge to run 10K and raise lots of money for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.



I’m running the Finsbury Park 10K on 23 September. It's going to be hard but I’m training lots as well as going to the gym, and am determined to run all the way without walking.

 

I chose this charity because more animals than ever are being neglected, abandoned or given to Battersea because their owners can’t afford to look after them. I volunteered there in the past and they do an amazing job, in what can be a sad environment.

 

Here are some examples of what your donation could buy:

£2 could pay for a jar of peanut butter for the dogs

£5 could pay for a toy for a dog or cat

£10 could pay for antibiotics for two dogs and cats

£15 could pay for a dog or cat to be microchipped
