Yes you read it right...A half marathon, I know, yes that is 13 miles....OK so those that know me well will know I am not the most althetic and most certainly not a distance runner! A rather drunken bet got out of hand and now my pride and ego will not let me walk away. So please please sponsor whatever you can towards me running and hopefully completing a half marathon. I fully assure you I will not be back with crazy ideas of running a marathon afterwards. This kind of thing is genuinely not something I am doing for a laugh or enjoyment!

In aid of this madness I wish to raise money for a charity close to my heart, St Wilfrid's. They are based up the road from where I work and seek to provide shelter, warmth, a hot meal and a kind word to those who need it. They may be homeless, physically or mentally imparied or simply socially excluded and unable to find their way. The door of St Wilfrid's is always open and I don't doubt they lessen the burden of NHS and social services in Sheffield.

So whatever you can spare for their plight, please don't make me run 13 miles for nothing! Ha ha, many thanks in advance, it really is appreciated.
