Story
On October 2nd I will be running the iconic London Marathon as part of team Flora. And in doing so, I will be fundraising for The Wildlife Aid Foundation. Can you spare a few £ € $ for this wonderful charity?
Based in my hometown of Leatherhead, The Wildlife Aid Foundation (WAF) is dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. The charity’s veterinary wildlife hospital deals with more than 20,000 wildlife emergencies every year. Their dedicated aim is to return every patient to the wild once they have recovered. The foundations work was the subject of one of the UK’s longest-running wildlife documentary series, Wildlife SOS’, which some of you might remember.
With the Surrey Hills on my doorstep, I love the scenery and the animals I share it with on my walks, runs and rides. It is for this reason that I appreciate all that The Wildlife Aid Foundation does for my local wildlife and why I am raising these funds.
