We provide support services and work to reduce the number of baby deaths

Story

In the loving memory of baby Angel Olivia Shorrock.

Having to say goodbye to your child before getting the chance to say hello is something no parent should have to go through.  But sadly on April 2nd 2012 my cousin's baby girl was born sleeping as a result of complications during labour.

This was such a distressing time for the family.  My cousin, her husband and Angel's 2 brave big brothers have been able to seek comfort from the support group North Hert SANDS.  Being able to talk to people who understand what you are going through and helping with practical things such as the funeral has been an amazing help and comfort.

My cousin is now heavily involved with the group and as a thank you and encouragement for the group to continue I would like to raise funds and need your help!  Please donate what you can to allow the group to continue supporting families during such a difficult time.

Please note that all funds raised will go to the North Herts SANDS branch and not the main UK wide charity.

17 babies are stillborn or die during or shortly after birth every day in the UK - a shocking statistic that, through various campaigns to promote research and changes in practice, SANDS aims to help reduce the loss of babies' lives.  They need our support.

On behalf of me and my family, thank you! x
