As you lovely people may or may not know, I love running around London, especially Battersea Park, so I thought now would be the perfect time to give myself a bit of a challenge and run the half marathon. Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is a great London charity that puts a lot of work into rescuing, reuniting, and rehoming lost and abadoned dogs and cats. It was founded in 1860, and currently the Home cares for over 10,600 dogs and cats. This will be the first time for me running the half marathon, but through training I hope to run it in a decent time!

I have always been a dog lover and I specifically chose this charity as it is close to my heart, but also crucially receives no government funding, and exists alone through the generosity of people, who kindly take the time to volunteer or fundraise.
