Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November 1996 I went to see my GP as my parents were very worried about how often I was saying that I was tired, thirsty, needing the toilet and losing weight.

My GP did a blood sugar test and immediately admitted me to hospital, where at the age of 12 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
I spent the next few weeks learning how to inject insulin into oranges and learning how to spot the signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) to prevent the possiblity of falling into a diabetic coma.
A lot changed and I had to learn that these needles, and little bottles of insulin, were literrally saving my life, and that without them I would not live for very long!!

Yes I am crazy, and my mum and dad are not thrilled that I am doing a 10,000ft freefall skydive, but I feel that this is the perfect way to give back to the charity that is so close to my heart and could one day in the future change my life again!
Massive thanks,
Jennie xxxx
