Story
Hi everyone!
I am running the Virgin London Marathon on 3rd October and would be super grateful for your support...the teeniest of donations will make a big difference....and if anyone fancies a day out to watch me drag myself around, I would love to see your faces around the course. Some of you might remember me running marathons when I was young and hadn't had 3 kids....a distant memory! I have decided that 10 years since my last one and having turned 40, it was about time I got my running shoes back on.
I am fundraising for the wonderful Evelina London Children's Hospital Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Retrieval service. This amazing department has continued to inspire me over the many years that I have worked in the hospital and is full of people who go the extra mile to help desperately ill children day in and day out. During Covid, they have also looked after adults in intensive care and provided the most wonderful bedside nursing and care that anyone could ask for. As with everything in the NHS sadly, funds are always short. The hospital runs a charity and the support from that enables us to provide extra services to support parents and families of unwell children whilst they are living through their worst nightmares and goes a huge way to making their time in hospital more bearable. The charity also helps to provide essential equipment for our retrieval service and the intensive care unit. Every pound raised goes towards taking our care of sick children to the next level. Here are some links about the intensive care services in case you would like more information:

Please consider throwing a few pennies into this very worthwhile pot.
Thank you, you lovely lot
