Story
This is my neighbour's son Aaron. Six years ago he fell down the escalator shaft at Victoria Station, breaking his back in three places - disrupting the sensory pathways leaving him completely paralysed and unable to do anything for himself. He had just graduated from his Chef's course that day!
His mother Marilyn came to me late last summer asking if I would not mind doing some work with him as I had done in the past, as he no longer has physio care. It was whilst working with him that I became aware of the need for a new chair and was moved to try and raise the money as an act of sacrificial giving.
I set up a sponsored run through the church as it is our vision to meet the needs of the community and this is clearly a community need - "No Strings Attached" - that is our motto!
I then ran 50 miles in five days, logging all on a Garminn forerunner, and then cycled 46 miles combined with my 15 year the next day. 10 members of the church then ran 50 miles collectively in one day and for their runs they have raised approx £600.00.
It is a gift we wish to give and only his sister is aware - that is how I got the pictures. Please help us to realise this dream. Forward to your friends, colleagues, facebook, myspace or twitter entries.
Love to you all!
