We support people with Tourettes Syndrome to live their lives to the full

Story

I'm taking the 'mind over matter' motto seriously and challenging myself to take on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in just 19 days time.

From now, until the 2nd April, I shall be dusting off my running shoes and pushing myself to complete this gruelling (for me),  picturesque run, because each day, I talk to so many families, adults, children and teenagers who are desperately trying to raise awareness and get help living with Tourette Syndrome.

Tourettes isn't rare, yet there is a severe lack of support and guidance for everyone living with the condition (and their families) across the UK.

Tourettes is painful, it can often stop children learning at school, adults from driving and carrying out normal daily tasks even and families enjoying what would usually be a simple day out together. It also massively affects a person living with TS's mental health.

More needs to be done.

I am running this race to help raise awareness for Tourettes Action, a small, amazing charity that I am so proud to be part of, for the condition itself and for all the families who are on their own journey with neurodiversity, whatever form it may present itself. You are all, quite simply, amazing.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

A big thank you for reading this far, and for any donation, big or small. It will help make such a difference.

Much love,

Jenna x
