We provide life-enhancing art lessons to people living with dementia

Story

The Little Art School Trust is a registered Scottish Charity which was set up in 2015. We provide award winning, highly structured art classes predominately into care homes to people living with dementia. We currently operate in the West Coast of Scotland and our partnership with St. Andrews University and the UK's leading dementia professor, Dr Maggie Ellis, validates our theory and methods behind our art lessons for learning when living with dementia.Fundraising is vital for LAST to continue to offer and expand these free classes.

During lockdown my grandads condition worsened he was unable to see his family. I can not fault the home he was in absolutely five star care.

I believe that he perhaps would still be here now if the pandemic had not happened.

I feel for all the people in the residential homes that are unable to leave these people have been in total lockdown since end of march 2020. Can you imagine that? Put yourself in their shoes?

I'm hoping to raise some money to get some classes to these people even if it is over vidoe call on a big screen or supply the home with arts crafts materials...

Also charities are finding it extremely hard to raise funds in a pandemic and are reliant on donations in lockdown... This just maybe the difference between a charity surieving through this pandemic
