Story
This year I’ll be competing in the 100k London to Brighton ultra-challenge for the second year in a row.
Following what happened last year, I’m determined to make a success of it. Unfortunately, when I was only 20 km outside of London, a careless cyclist crashed into me, badly injuring my hip. I managed to make it to about 50 km but then, on the medical team’s orders, I had to stop. I was gutted, but it just makes me even more determined to finish this year.
The great thing about this challenge is that it helps me maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. When I first lost my sight, I lost a bit of my fitness, but with the help of Blind Veterans UK, I’ve been able to regain it thanks to events like the 100k London to Brighton walk and the Great
South Run.
I would appreciate any support you can give me, whether that be donations via this page or coming along to the event itself.
