Over the last few years the cancer statistics have caught up with several of our friends and relatives. Although they all received fantastic medical care and many are in remission, the levels of additional support and advice they received were more variable. So I decided to fulfill a long time ambition of riding from Lands End to John O'Groats and couple it with raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Whilst discussing this with friends I gathered three other masochists, Tim Griggs, Don Yates, and Michael Johnson, who agreed to ride with me and try and raise some cash for Macmillan Cancer Support too.
