In the last four months, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in the Cristo Rey Boston High School community. While the day-to-day school activities may have changed, one thing has remained constant: Cristo Rey Boston's commitment to creating a compassionate and challenging learning environment that prepares students for college and their future careers.
Their ability to provide skills and opportunities for our students is possible in part by the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) model. As many CWSP partners are directly impacted by COVID- 19 and are unable to host students, we anticipate a decrease in work study contract renewals for the 2020-2021 school year. In total, this equates to $243,000 funding gap for this coming school year and represents a lack of placements for 27 students.
