Story
Hi everyone
It is that time of year again when I have decided to set myself some challenges in the name of raising money for a worthwhile charity.
This year I am going to try to raise some money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, a locally based, North-West charity.
Recently a close friend of mine lost a family member to Lung Cancer, which is why I have chosen this charity, with the aim of pushing myself as hard as possible, to raise as much as I can, for those researching future treatments against Cancer.
This year I have signed up to: run the Manchester 10k, swim 1 mile in open water, and run the Macclesfield Half Marathon.
I may do a few more events, but Josie (my better half) will more than likely add injuries to the list that I will no doubt pick up doing them in the first place.
I'm not what you would call an athlete. I'm just trying to step out of my comfort zone, get a bit fitter and give help to a charity that really does some great work.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and anything you can give, no matter how small, will be appreciated.
Jeff
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
