Story
At the beginning of 2017 I set myself the challenge of running 1000 miles in 2017. I enjoy running, and have run for several years now, but never this far. To reach my target I need to run about 20 miles a week, through rain, wind, hail, sunshine, and up and down hills (I live in Sheffield!!) To date I have run about 630 miles, so I am just about on target, and on my second pair of trainers...
Last week a friend and colleague was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Despite the shock and sadness this has caused him and his family he is determined that some good can come from this situation. This is my way of helping him to make sure that his diagnosis can do some good in the future.
If I can raise just £1 for every mile I run this year it will be a huge benefit to this cause. Any help you can give me to reach my target for this charity and to keep me going through wind, rain, snow, heat (unlikely!), hangovers (very likely!!), uphill and down dale will be much appreciated by me, my friend, and his family.
Thank you in advance.
