Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you know Con has been in and out of hospital for the past 18 months and has been diagnosed with Myeloma. He has had a series of treatments and is scheduled to have a stem cell transplant next week.
Myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells, plasma cells are found in the bone marrow and are responsible for protecting the body against infection. Myeloma represents only 1% of all cancers. There is currently no cure but treatment can halt the progress of the disease and improve quality of life.
The funds raised enables Myeloma Uk to continue to provide and expand their programmes and services. It also means that they can fund important research into the causes of myeloma and to find better and safer treatments.
