Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the 2020 London Marathon and aiming to raise as much money as possible for Bliss. As many will know, our beautiful daughter Sienna was born 8 weeks premature in July 2018. Sienna had to spend 3 weeks in hospital on the special care baby unit at the George Elliot in Nuneaton. As you can imagine this was a pretty scary time for myself and Gemma. Sienna had to be monitored 24/7 to make sure her oxygen levels stayed where they needed to, she had to have various tests done, including x-rays, head scans etc to make sure everything was ok, and she had various appointments at the hospital in the 6 months after taking her home. Thankfully she’s a healthy, happy baby.
Whilst Sienna was in hospital we saw leaflets about Bliss, and although we didn’t get in touch we feel they’re an incredible charity, and having been in that worrying situation feel it’s fantastic knowing there’s a charity like bliss out there offering support to parents should they want or need it. Any amount of money you can donate will be hugely appreciated.
Bliss is the UK’s leading charity for babies born premature or sick. Bliss champions the right for every baby born premature or sick to receive the best care. We achieve this by empowering families, influencing policy and practice, and enabling life-changing research.
