Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in various running events this year to raise some funds for the Papworth Hospital Charity due to the excellent care shown to Teresa, following her diagnosis with a PH.
Teresa had a pulmonary endarterectomy operation on 18th July and although the operation to remove the blood clots/lung lining was a success, she unfortunately suffered seizures, causing a dense left-sided hemiplegia, following the operation. The care and treatment she received was excellent and she quickly recovered from these complications, being allowed home 10 days later to continue her recovery from the operation.
On the weekend of 23rd/24th September myself and my eldest daughter's boyfriend, Kieran Morris, will be taking part in the Equinox 24. This is a 10K course around the Belvoir Castle estate and is run relay-style over 24 hours from midday Saturday to midday Sunday. I wonder how many 10K laps we'll each manage to complete in that time?! The kids also wanted to be signed up to complete the 1K Kids Fun Run as their contribution. Teresa declined.........! She is however going to be baking to offer a variety of cakes/biscuits to others on the campsite in return for donations to the charity.
Please visit the Hospital and Charity websites to learn more about the specialist treatments for heart and lung conditions and the care provided to patients.
The Papworth Hospital Charity have confirmed that the JustGiving site is their preferred method of receiving donations, as the streamlined process saves them considerable administration time and costs.
From the Just Giving site ......
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I do not have a fundraising target. We would appreciate any help that you can give to this deserving Charity.
With grateful thanks.
