Please look up the Elephant rally on Google or YouTube or at Facebook
In 2009 my wife Jane was diagnosed with cancer and I hit rock bottom. Its now 2014 my wife has had quite a bit of surgery and is extremely healthy now. Seeing as I am going to the rally I thought that I may as well try and raise some money for a good cause Bradford Cancer Support.
I have been involved in motorcycling since the age of around 3. I am the third generation within the family to be an avid motorcyclist. My children are now the fourth generation. My son Danny is 30 and rides a Bandit 1200 and my daughter Roxie is 22 and rides a Harley 883. I'm just a motorcyclist enthusiast.
Over the years my wife and I have done many of the UKs small motorcycle rally's and we have also been lucky enough to do just about every large rally plus Isle of Mann TT and North West 200 and island hopping round the Shetlands with my mate Steve and my son. Lands End and John O’Groats as well. What could I do next? Three biking holidays in Europe with the wife. Then what?
I have always wanted to do the Elephant rally in Bavaria but couldn't find anyone daft enough to go with me until eventually I wore my childhood friend Rick Woodward down and he agreed to do it with me. I think we were round a camp fire fuelled on pies and ale. Unfortunately for Rick in the morning I remembered the conversation.
