We’re off out running again to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

We are running this year on the 23 March which is the day after Carol past away in 2012.

 

It’s as if this run was meant to be as last year I just happened upon it while browsing the net it was run one day after Carols Birthday.

 

It has been 2 years since Carol’s passing but it still feels like yesterday.

 

Our lives have always been a bit of a roller coaster ride, In and out of hospital, times when Carol couldn’t get out of bed and then to be told you only have so long to live but all the time Carol got on with life.

 

I always think back to when we moved into Warwick I was fixated on getting a bungalow for an easier life for Carol but she was the opposite as she saw stairs as a challenge to push herself that little bit harder. We could all learn a lot from her attitude to life. To get up some mornings was more than difficult but no matter how bad she was feeling she would always make the effort to look her best and get on as normal as possible.

 

She was my best mate soul mate and love of my life.

 

We also lost Carols mother Christine and Sister Jane from Heart problems at a very young age of 38 and 40 they both were lovely people and had so much more to give and get from life.

Carol was on the transplant list for heart and lung transplant in hear last few years which brings me onto my next point.

 

We have a very high amount of people on waiting lists for organ donation but only 30% of the population are signed up as organ donors. So please if you haven’t already signed up for organ donation please discuss this with your family and sign up if you can.
