Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page that is linked to the "Adam Illingworth Fund". I am aiming to raise funds for CLIC Sargent to help other children and their families coping with cancer.
At the age of 5, Adam was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was transferred from hospital in Middlesbrough to Newcastle General. After having the tumour removed, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Adam was left with a lot of health issues. His world was turned upside down. CLIC Sargent supported Adam and his family through this time. Adam was given the all clear from cancer a few years ago. Sadly he passed away on 6th February 2016 from a seizure.
Please sponsor me as I take on the challenge of the long distance ride from Paris to Breast and back in just 4 days (including any sleep!), PBP is one of the oldest rides out there and only held every 4 years, starting Sun 18th August, that’s 745 miles / 1,200km in 90 hours!
You can track my progress through the following link: https://rtrt.me/1584/track/RF739PX5
The sponsorship is part of the motivation I will use to get me through this event, its 25% fitness and 75% psychological!
