Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm taking part in the RideLondon 100, because of that little monkey in the picture above. That's Freddie.
He was born at 32 weeks and fought to survive from the start. Recently he has been diagnosed with very severe Aplastic Anemia, in basic terms the bone marrow has failed, so he has another fight on his hands. Anthony Nolan have played a huge part in trying to locate a suitable match so he can get a bone marrow transplant because without this he will die.
So, I'm going to put myself through the hell of cycling 100 miles, to raise money and awareness for them.
£100 = The cost of recruiting each new potential donor.
£255 = The cost of a special box used for transporting donated stem cells from a donor to a patient for a potentially lifesaving transplant.
£500 = The average cost of flying out to Germany - one of the worlds largest registers - to collect stem cells for a patient in the UK.
£7,800 = The cost of arranging a potentially lifesaving transplant for a person with blood cancer once a matching donor has been found.

So please, dig as deep as you can...for me, Freddie and Anthony Nolan.
