Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am challenging myself to the 100km Jurassic Coast Walk on May 18th. I will walking non-stop to complete this challenge, no doubt picking up sore feet in the process!

All will be for a good cause - The Psoriasis Association. It is an auto-immune disease and many people do not know much about the condition, if anything at all. I was one of these people before my 6 year old daughter was diagnosed when she was 3 years old. Psoriasis lies within us all, and can surface at any moment if you’re unlucky enough. With my daughter, it was a simple case of a bee sting that started it all off.

She suffers terribly, with specific areas over her body and scalp. Thick scaly scabs on show with very little you can do about it, especially at her age. She has specialist visits with the dermatologist (not often enough) and is using a strong Protopic cream every day. Not only does it affect her body but it is also starting to affect her confidence and self esteem when other children make comments, which breaks my heart.

There is currently NO cure for Psoriasis and we need to change that, or at least find a long term solution to keeping it at bay.

Any donations go along way, so thank you in advance, I truly appreciate it.
