So for those of you who know me, you'll know I volunteer for St. John Cymru... Over those years I've met so many kids and parents who whisper oh they're autistic, Aspergers etc I never imagined I'd be on their side when I was a mum....
I knew lukas' speech was behind for his age but I never imagined he would be referred for a million assessments from hearing, to speech therapy, or to a paediatrician who will decide whether or not he has autism... That was 2014
Fast forward to today an I am so glad to have the support we do in this ever lasting journey of assessment and we owe all of it to the staff & volunteers at Serennu children's centre!
From speech therapy, audiology, paediatrician, OT, music therapy, Jane with her weekly emails to the wonderful friend network I've met through serennu they all play a big part in our ASD world
Last summer we got to do lots of different activities to keep us entertained for six weeks as well as Medicinema, the sensory room, messy play and swimming opportunities ever since then, so I want to take the chance to give back to them and keep up their amazing work for children with development delays.
Please sponsor me for World Autism Awareness Week as I am going to complete 26.1 miles of running over the week
And complete the stair master building challenge at certain fundraising points!
Thank you in advance
Love me & Lukas
