I first learned about The New York Foundling as a teenager volunteering in the Heights in an after school program supporting students with tutoring and homework. Many years later, I began teaching at Mott Haven Academy Charter School in the South Bronx, and found myself connected to The New York Foundling once again. Twelve years later, I am still connected to The Foundling and throughout the years I've had an opportunity to witness their mission in action in support of students and families of my school community. However, their work goes beyond my school and into the greater NY community. 

As I continue my running journey in 2023, I'd like to make my running more impactful. With every mile I run, I will be raising critical funds to support an organization in whose work and mission I deeply believe. By supporting me, you're really supporting the 30,000 children, adults, and families in Foundling programs every year.
