Story
Hi chaps
Many of you will know that it's always been a bit of a dream of mine to run the London Marathon, after I watched my dad run it when I was 8.
Well, it’s taken me exactly 30 years (although I am still 21), and I am thrilled to say that I have finally managed to get myself a place in the London Marathon. I'll be running it this April!
I’m really proud to be running it for a great charity - the YMCA. So much more than the letters from a 70s disco tune, the YMCA are a brilliant charity, doing some really significant work in the lives of vulnerable young people around the UK.
As I'm running with a charity place, I've promised I'll do my best to raise as much for the YMCA as I possibly can, so please sponsor me if you are able. Every donation means such a lot and is incredibly appreciated by the charity - and of course by me.
My logic is that if my dad inspired me when I was a ‘yoof’, it’s only natural to run the marathon for a charity that plays such a vital role in inspiring young people today.
Hope you can help.
Jan
