Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am due to take part in the ladies driving challenge on Sunday 27th September 2009 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Why this particular charity?  As a family we were so impressed by the care and compassion from the Marie Curie Nurse that saw us through my father's last night back in March 2006.  My father had wanted admission to a hospice but due to the circumstances at the time this had not been possible, hence we cared for him during his last few days at home.  I'm still unclear as to the catalyst that brought the Marie Curie Nurse that last night, but she allowed both my mother and myself some respite and then called us just as my father was taking his last breaths which allowed us to be present at the end.

Please consider giving to this worthy cause, every little can make a huge difference to families living with cancer,

With many thanks and all good wishes,

Janet
