Story
I am the Chair of Kids in Kathmandu Nepal (KIKN), a small charity run by volunteers, that sponsors 40 children & young people in Kathmandu & is helping three schools develop their ICT & science infrastructure. We also fund breakfast clubs at the three school that feed a total of 400 nursery children each day - see www.kidsinkathmandu.com
Futures for Kids has given us substantial funding since 2012, and without their generosity we would be unable to fund our projects.
Each year, KIKN Trustees & other supporters take part in Future For Kids 'Walk to Work' fundraising event, as they have given so much to us and to our Kathmandu projects.
I usually do the 15 mile sponsored walk (FFK claims it's 10k, but we know better!), but, as many of you will know, last November I developed spinal stenosis & at times could hardly walk 15 yds, let alone 15 miles - so I'm asking that you support my fellow KIKN walkers through me (or sponsor another of the KIKN team if you would prefer to sponsor a genuine walker!)
