Story
Hi everyone - thanks for stopping by!
A few of you will know that my baby sister Andrea (you will always be my baby sister!) decided it would be a good idea to buy me a sky dive for my last birthday, and for those of you who really know me, I am very excited and have always wanted to do one. It is booked for the 10th December (but weather permitting it may change to a later date).
As a thank you to her, and as it's going to be Remembrance Sunday soon, I have decided to try and raise a little money for the Royal British Legion. For those of you who don't know, this is a charity which provides support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families and is responsible for the Poppy Appeal.
A few years ago, at the beginning of September 2006, I was one of the family members ringing the Ministry of Defence to find out if my sister had perished on the Nimrod MR2 crash in Kandahar, Afghanistan. It was one of the worst moments of my life. Thankfully, she wasn't on the plane at the time, but 14 families that day received the unthinkable news about their loved ones.
I would be grateful if you could spare some loose change and donate whatever you can.
PS. Thanks to my sister, included in the jump is a cameraman who is going to film me from the moment I leave the plane to my safe landing. If you would like to see the video after my jump, please just ask and I might let you. :-)
