Hello!

I'm climbing the Highest Hill in Galloway on 15th April and hoping to raise some money for Quarriers.

Quarriers is a really old Scottish charity which supports young people and families facing physical, mental and emotional difficulties; whether that be severe disabilities, homelessness, addictions or caring etc..

It recognises the plights of people in some pretty sticky situations and sheds light on them by providing the material and moral support needed to have a fair chance at life through centres, befriending schemes, respite, social workshops and visiting people in their own homes.

I choose the charity because it deals with issues which are never far away and provides support that most of us have but without it would be lost. It's also does a lot of work in Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow and has a branch in Stranraer so is a local charity for me too!
