Fresh Start Edinburgh is a tremendous local charity helping people who've previously been homeless to get back onto their feet.  It provides 'starter packs' of donated household goods - crockery / bedding / curtains - that help to transform empty rooms into a home.  It offers practical and social support - painting and decorating, befriending, cooking classes, gardening, and growing stuff to eat.  It also provides training, helping people to develop their employability via social enterprises.  Fresh Start's annual sponsored walk last year raised £10K - I'd like to help them achieve even more this year.  Can you believe I've never undertaken a sponsored walk before?  I'm looking forward to it!
