Story
So in April, in a moment of madness, I decided to sign up for Survival of the Fittest in London. What possessed me to do this, I have no idea, but on 17th November I will dragging my sorry ass round a 10k run/obstacle course through Battersea Park and Power Station. However, I will not be alone as after a few rounds of rum pong I somehow managed to convince Vicky, Gary, Sarah, Nick, Jon and Lou that running through skips of water and mud would be an excellent idea. It is no doubt going to be horrific and painful (especially for us non-runners of the group) but we are hoping to get round in one piece and try and raise money for the charity Mind whilst we're at it.
Mind does sterling work for people with mental health problems and the help they offer is a vital part of many people's lives. As someone who has battled with depression over the last five years, I know all too well how important it is to have a good support network and raising money for this charity will be my way of giving a little something back.
If you have any spare change to donate it would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers me dears
Jane xx
