I have never done anything like Sleep Out before. But I am doing it because there are people here in the East End of London who have to live like that every day and Christmas is coming. I know I am so lucky and that many of my neighbours don't have enough to feed, clothe or house themselves. This is not fair. It is not right. 160 years ago, my great grandfather set sail to New Zealand from this parish - his first church was All Saints Poplar as a young deacon. He worked to help the people of this neighbourhood once. Now it's the turn of new generations. But we can't do it alone. We need YOUR HELP. Canary Wharf is an island of privilege set in a sea of want. It is the duty of everyone who lives and works here to share his or her good fortune around a little. Please pledge at least 50p per hour. I will be sleeping out for 12 hours.
