On the 21st February I am travelling to Uganda to volunteer for a week with Soft Power Education.  As some of you may be aware my daughter Dani has been living in Jinja, Uganda since March 2019 and is working as the Group Volunteer Programme Manager for Soft Power Education.  The charity celebrated its 20 year anniversary last year and does lots of great work. Their mission is "Improving quality of life through education" and their vision is "An empowered and self-sustaining society taking responsibility for its own development".  Their projects include 2 pre-schools, special educational needs facilities, knitting projects to enable women in rural Uganda to earn a living to support their families and developing fuel efficient stoves to name just a few!
