Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for the late Jan Hunter.
Jan passed away peacefully at 4.30am on Wednesday 16th June 2021, surrounded by her husband and two children. She was 66 years old and had been suffering with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for 2 years.
MND is a neurological condition that affects the brain and nerves and gets worse over time. There is currently no cure and the average life expectancy is 2-5 years. Jan had bulbar MND that affects the muscles of the face, throat and tongue. It is a truly dreadful disease and Jan knew what was coming, but took it on with such bravery and never a word of complaint.
Whilst it may sound like a cliche, Jan brightened any room she was in. She was always smiling, a beautiful person, inside and out. She never said a bad word about anyone and always put others ahead of herself.
We are in complete disbelief that she has been taken so soon. We thought we would set up a JustGiving page for anyone who would like to give a donation in Jan’s memory to help support other sufferers and support research to stop other people having to endure this ghastly disease.
