Hi everyone,

On September 12th, Mary and Jamie are going to Ethiopia to volunteer for VSO. VSO is a charity that helps people in the developing world through sharing professional skills. VSO is partly funded by DFID and partly by charitable donations.

Any money raised here will go directly to VSO and will allow them to send more volunteers to the developing world. (Don't forget to Gift Aid it if you pay tax.)

We're going to be living near Addis Ababa (the capital) and the project is for one year. We would LOVE to have visitors, so do come and see us in the country of "13 months of sunshine" (actually it rains lots in July and August!). If you don't fancy coming to see us, it would be great to keep in touch either via facebook or maryhannahhudson@googlemail.com .

Before we go we are going to have a weekend in the pub (5th/6th September - one day in Brampton Mill in Huntingdon and one day in London - details will follow on here and in Facebook) with the idea that if you want to say farewell and come for a drink this would be a good way to do it!

If you are able to help with this project (however small) that would be great, we're really looking forward to this adventure but will miss all the wonderful people who aren't in Ethiopia!
