Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Jack Daniell and Jamie Chisholm are competing in Polar Challenge 2011 - a race on foot and skis to the 1996 Magnetic North Pole. We have been training and preparing for the race since we entered in August last year, and finally the time to head to the Arctic has arrived. We will be in the Canadian High Arctic for 5 weeks as we go through our final preparations, walk 110 km to the start line and finally compete in what we hope will be a fantastic race.

Dealing with the cold will be just one of the challenges we face, but in achieving something that we feel will be very special we want to use the opportunity to raise money for two causes with personal meaning. We would be very grateful for your support of these charities, and to know that our efforts in reaching the Pole will be that much more worthwhile.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
