My name is Jamie and I am a FireFighter based in Aviemore, Scotland.

I will be doing a charity stair climb at the Strathspey Hotel (Four Seasons) in Aviemore on the 1st of July 2017 at 12 noon. This is to honour the 343 FireFighters who gave all on the 11th September 2001.

The climb itself will simulate the stairs of the World Trade Centre climbed by the FireFighters that day, which equates to 13 times I need to climb from the foyer to the top floor of the hotel. During the challenge I will be wearing full FireFighting kit, a breathing apparatus set and carrying an axe In hand.

I have chosen the Lucky2BHere charity as not only did our community recently lose a valued member of the emergency services and friend to all from a heart attack, but a colleague of mine also suffered a heart attack in work to which I was first on scene. This has highlighted the importance of the life saving equipment and training the charity provide throughout Scotland.
