Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Here I am with my Nan in 2009.
Last December, Nan was diagnosed with high grade Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It was a shock for us all, but at least with treatment it is curable. Her first chemotherapy was on 11th January.
Sadly, one rare side effect of lymphoma can be the formation of blood clots.
My Nan was one of those rare cases, and suddenly on 30th January 2012 she passed away. Her smile, her laugh, and her generous spirit are how she will always be remembered.
This has motivated me to train and to enter the London BUPA 10k on 27th May along with my Uncle, Christopher Priest. Macmillan Cancer Support is a great cause and this run will be all the more poignant for me. I miss Nan hugely, and although I can't bring her back I can continue to help save other lives.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please give whatever you can, and in return I will push myself on until I reach the finish line.
