Story

As many of you are aware I am a Physical Development teacher at Columbus School and College which caters for young people with Special Educational Needs. For many years we've had close links with Barrow Farm, a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association. At Barrow Farm opportunities are provided for children and adults by making horse riding accessible when they cannot necessarily be catered for at other riding schools.

Horse riding delivers many different benifits and for the riders at Barrow Farm it can provide physiotherapy, exercise, a chance to learn, the opportunity to make new friends, build self-esteem, improve confidence and all the while have fun.

To make this all possible there is a small team of well trained and dedicated staff, a large team of committed and hardworking volunteers and a wonderful team of specially selected and trained ponies and horses, plus great facilities. All of this is reliant upon the generous help of supporters and sponsorship for the upkeep of the ponies and facilities around them.

To help contribute to the continuity of this amazing facility, I will be running in the up and coming 2017 London Marathon. So please dig deep and sponsor me, with your £millions! :-)

Thank you, Jx
