Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 8th January 2016 cancer cruelly stopped my Mum from living her life. It's a nasty disease, cancer. Something so powerful it pushes your life to change course into a truly dark unknown. I'm running the Barcelona Marathon for the East Cheshire Hospice- an incredible charity who can really help to switch the lights on in those dark moments. They helped Mum muster up the strength to beat cancer the first time and gave her comfort at the end of the second time.
We've mobilised good support for cancer-preventative charities in our society and it's good to see everybody so passionately contributing in the memory of loved ones touched by cancer. However for some there is no cure; for that reason I ask that you support the work of the East Cheshire Hospice with me. With only 20% government funding, the ECH provide a comfortable and supportive environment to those affected and their families.
The East Cheshire Hospice made the last days of Anne's life as painless and comfortable as possible and supported us in facing the reality of what was happening. It costs £7,500 a day to run the hospice, so please, please give generously.
