UPDATE - I've completed the Helsby Half, Trafford 10km, Kilomathon and High Legh 10km (Plus Sports Relief 6) - Done the London Marathon, done the Great Manchester Run - Great North Run next I'm focusing on getting to Newcastle - I've had a scan on my knee but I'm going to do it 4Vin and the Alzheimer's Society...

Hey up me duck!

I'm doing a few things in 2010 and the main event is the Virgin London  Marathon!  I've always wanted to do a marathon and was able to get a place in the ballot.  I intend to use this place to raise as much money as possible during 2010 for the Alzheimer's Society.

We lost our beloved Dad in 2008 after his brave battle with dementia.  I'd like to give something back to a charity who made life a bit easier for him and my Mum.  I was privileged to run for the Alzheimer’s Society at the GMR2009 and wanted to do it again for them.

So, please encourage my progress over the next few months by sponsoring me for the main event.  I know everyone is asking for money but this is a charity that really needs funds to improve people's quality of life and raise awareness.  I know times are tough but it's worth it.  Plus my mate Pam does research funded by the Alzheimer's Society and we need to help her help find a cure. 

The big bonus is that if you sponsor me, you'll also be sponsoring me for the High Legh 10km in February, the Great Manchester Run in May, and the Great North Run.  So there, the more you pay the more added value you get during 2010.
