Story
Those that know me will know that my life has, as is the case sadly with so many others, been touched by the sadness that a terminal illness brings.
In December 2013, my mother Christine finally lost her brave battle with cancer, an illness that had in different forms effected her for a number of years. Her determination not to let this beat her was incredible and in a time of such sadness some solace was found from this fight.
It has been a long time ambition to run the London Marathon and inspired by the 2015 race I entered the ballot back in May last year and by October had found out that I had secured a place!
Having now started my official training it now seems only right that I use this wonderful and fortunate opportunity to raise a few quid for charity, so I have elected to run in support of Cancer Research UK.
Thank you for your support.
