Story
Firstly, a big thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
2011 was a year of many changes; just one year ago I set my own personal challenge and ran 10km to raise money for a worthy cause. This year I aim to do that again, but this time I'm setting the stakes a little higher and pushing myself even more by participating in the London Nightrider event (no not the 80's TV show...). Nightrider is a cycle challenge with a difference...it's at night! And as if that wasn't bad enough, it's a gruelling 100km bike ride around the streets of London.

But enough about the challenge for now, back to the case in hand; in 2011 we saw many changes. Many people around the world stood up and challenged their Leaders and their Governments and fought for civil liberty and freedom, something that all people deserve, and something that so many of us in this country take for granted.
It is for this reason that I have chosen to undertake my challenge on behalf of Amnesty International. I am cycling in the hopes of aiding them with financial support, but I also want to try and help raise awareness for the crucial work that they do.
Amnesty believes in equal rights, no matter your creed, colour or nationality. Their purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied. They truly do some amazing work, whether that is campaigning and petitioning the U.N. to bring war criminals (like Joseph Kony) to justice, or asking governments such as Russia to intervene in Syria, where atrocities are being committed against innocent civilians.

I hope you will give to show your support.
