We work in developing countries to support people with deafblindness

Story

Just a quick update to say thank you very much for your sponsorship raising over £2,000 for Sense International, your support has been very much appreciated.  Only after Christmas did I begin to take training seriously and joined a running club where I discovered unsurprisingly my occasional 5 k run was not going to cut mustard.. no matter how I argued. So, by Easter I had moved up to running 35 miles a week with a 20 mile run on Easter Sunday.

Last Sunday was an a phenomenal experience - on brow of hill and seeing tens of thousands of runners in front of you and streets full of people with amusing banners or sweets to keep you going - alongside the surreal sight of men in swimming shorts running in flip flops.

No matter what time you finish in - I would highly recommend it to anyone for next year.

Many thanks again for your contributions to Sense International

James
