We help families affected by bereavement to cope with the emotional impact of grief

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money in tribute to Russell Simmons, a friend of mine who very sadly passed away just recently aged 18.

I met and knew Russ through Saltford Tennis Club. His enthusiasm and sense of humour were infectious and he was a fantastic talent.

It was always a pleasure to be on the court with him, whether as an opponent on club nights or a partner during league matches. Even on the odd occasion where his language became colourful and his racquet took some abuse ;-)

I am attempting to play tennis at the club from 9.30am to 9.30pm on Sunday 12th May 2013, stopping only to briefly refuel or relieve myself!

The Rainbow Centre for Children is the charity that your generous sponsorship will go towards, as chosen by Russ' parents Dave and Jan.

The charity provides free and professional support to children and their families affected by bereavement and life threatening illness.

I appreciate all of your support.

About the charity
