Rod was a popular member within the community, through his links with P&O, the local golfing community and also friends and neighbours.

Around 12 months ago, we noticed a deterioration in his mental state, and we discovered his diagnosis of "vascular dementia" soon after.

Sadly on the 18th of January 2015, James Rodney English passed away peacefully in his sleep. 

The strain on the family in the last 12 months has been at times intolerable, and we know we are not the only ones to go/ are going through this battle.

We are therefore allowing donations to go to Dementia UK to try aid not only the person but their family in what is a difficult journey for those involved.

However small or large your donation can be, it will go to help others.
